I spent most of the week sanding and fairing the hull in preparation for paint. I think I should have spent longer . . . Now that the paint is on . . . it looks OK, but you can tell I am a rookie. The finish is not as smooth as it could have been.

The color is great, and the paint is amazing – Interlux Perfection two part polyester paint.

I’ll let it cure for at least two days before I turn it over and start finishing out the interior and topside decking.

After two coats of primer, we are ready for paint.

First coat went on very thin.

The thin first coat looks streaky and uneven.

But, the second coat looks GREAT!
