The last step before putting the 1/4 inch plywood sheets on the hull is the fairing. This is a process of planing and sanding to get all of the surfaces shaped and lined up to perfection.

It is a difficult, tedious, time consuming and “hot” job on a 91 degree summer day . . .

I got quite a bit of it done yesterday, but still have a good day of work to do before I am ready to put the hull sheets on my little boat frame.

One side is faired. One side still needs to be done.

It looks more like a "boat" every day . . .
