Maggie walks through our back yard on her way to the community pool behind our house. Yesterday she stopped to chat.  She casually asked me what the name of my boat will be. I was stumped. I didn’t know.

Since my new little boat will do duty as dinghy for our 28 foot Hunter sailboat named Pleiades, I thought I would look up the constellation Pleiades, and perhaps name my little boat after one of the stars.

It turns out one of the stars is called Pleione (pronounced PLYE – uh – nee). I think Pleiades will look fine towing little Pleione . . . don’t you?

Thanks for asking, Maggie!

Can you find Pleione in the Pleiades cluster? Write your answer on a $20 bill and mail it to me!
