The curves on this boat are what makes it so cute. When I tried to make the side frame pieces by freehanding the curve off of spaced dots taken from the plans, my curves were chunky. I didn’t like it.
So, I bought a “flexible curve” at an art store. It is bendy and rubbery and lets me get the exact curve from the plans. I will use this and re-cut the side frame members.
It will also help me shape the transom and the stem. This will make me (and my little boat) very happy!
